Non-systemic Insecticide With Little Contact & Mostly Stomach Action
Lufenuron, is a member of benzoylurea pesticides and used as a regulator for insect growth. It acts as a moulting inhibitor on larvae. Lufenuron is a larvicide acting by inhibition of chitin biosynthesis, thus interfering with the formation of the cuticule. It displays strong stomach and moderate contact activity. It is non-systemic. Lufenuron is effective on pests resistant to organophosphates and pyrethroids. Spectrum of activity Lufenuron is highly active on leaf feeding lepidopterous and colepterous larvae. It also exhibits ovicidal activity.
