Butisan Top (Metazachlor + Quinmerac 50% SC) is a dual-purpose, selective, systemic and pre-emergence herbicide for controlling a wide range of annual Broadleaf & grassy weeds in rapeseed fields, including weeds of the rapeseed family, which stops the germination of weed seeds and kills them. This herbicide can also destroy weeds that have already reached the cotyledon stage. Metazachlor is from the chloroacetamide family and Quinmerac is from the quinoline carboxylic acid family.
Proper tillage and sufficient soil moisture are very important and increase the effectiveness of this herbicide. Avoid using this herbicide in fields with a lot of straw and stubble.
This herbicide is absorbed mainly through the germinating roots (when used post-emergence) and also through the leaves of weeds. After application to the soil, it absorbs the germinated weeds and causes them to wilt and die in a short time. This herbicide can also kill weeds in the cotyledonous zone.
In hot and dry areas, the best time to use it is after planting and before germination of rapeseed (pre-emergence) at a rate of 2 liters per hectare, after which irrigation should be carried out.
In humid and moderately cold areas, it can be used from the pre-emergence stage to the cotyledonous stage of rapeseed and preferably before the appearance of cotyledonous leaves of weeds at a rate of 2 liters per hectare.
This herbicide should be used in rapeseed fields that do not have any weeds of the Brassicaceae, if possible.
